Join our guest speaker, USC’s Assistant Director for LGBT Education in the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, Caroline Wallace! She will speak with us about common and emerging issues facing LGBTQ+ students, and will present information about programs and services available for students, faculty, and staff. An example of this is SafeZone training for faculty and staff to provide welcoming and open spaces on campus for LGBTQ+ students.

Caroline’s work spans all aspects of LGBTQ+ programming, from student support to faculty and staff development. Caroline was previously a student services generalist at Mitchell Community College in Statesville, NC and graduate assistant for Orientation and Leadership Development at Columbia College. She holds a master’s degree in higher education student affairs and a bachelor’s degree in art history, both from University of South Carolina.
