THE POWER OF LOVE, A Discussion of the Book by Bishop Michael Curry

Discussion Lead by Rev. Dr. Reginald Lee

6:30 PM Program - The Power of Love

In a nation increasingly divided on issues of race, sexuality and gender identity, how do we find a path forward? Can love really lead us to an answer? Dr. Lee will lead us in a timely discussion of Bishop Michael Curry’s book, The Power of Love. Elected in 2015, Michael Curry is the first African American to serve as presiding bishop in The Episcopal Church. You might also know him for the incredible sermon he delivered at the wedding of Megan Markle and Prince Harry. Join us for a thought-provoking and uplifting discussion that you will enjoy even if you haven’t yet read the book.

Rev. Dr. Reginald Lee holds a BS in Telecommunications from Morgan State University and is a double graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. He received his Masters of Divinity Degree in 1997 and his Doctor of Ministry Degree in 2000. Rev. Dr. Lee served as an A.M.E. pastor on the eastern shore of Maryland and served as a local church pastor for 19 years in the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. He also has served as Adjunct Professor of Methodist Studies at Anderson University School of Theology in Anderson, Indiana and as Adjunct Professor of Preaching and Worship at Indiana Wesleyan University. Presently he serves as the UMC’s Florence and Marion District Congregational Specialist in South Carolina.
